Justice.
About 3 months ago, we were referred a 17 year old survivor who had survived something horrific.
A group of people, both men and women, would visit local schools in Medellin, Colombia. They would recruit poor girls to be exploited by people of influence in the city. Doctors, mayors, etc.
In the process of the investigation, two more survivors were identified.
Libertas is caring for all three survivors. Helping them heal and to study.
Our wonderful partners at The Colombian National Police needed additional funding to travel to another city for the arrest. The trafficker owned a home in another city.
This funding was provided, and early this morning Project Gloom Hands happened.
6 traffickers arrested. 3 survivors recovered.
